When every one rants to me ... who do i rant to ..

I don't like how i feel now.

I can't define my feelings..

Its clear that I'm possessed with self centered and menacing perceptions..

I can't help it after being denied with my selfless attempts

I don't wanna create yet another situation..

I'm sorry if I wasn't what was expected.

I'm sorry I can't remain emotionless , I'm still human.

I'm sorry for the circumstances that I can't resolve.

I feel sorry for myself too.

This is not an attempt to strain the relationship but an attempt to clear my thoughts and unwind.

Please don't blame me for this or take this negatively...

I just want to rant and empty the bottle...

The skin cancer protectant

So, i was complaining about how the sun is bringing forth an unwanted evolution in our skin colour to ernest every time we fished during the day. We seriously need to get ourselves protected from the harmful UV rays and sun block of any amount of spf doesn't seemed to work, so, while shopping around at beach road with my mum , I saw this.

Cool rite! It made me look like I'm gonna start throwing shurikens at people. This thing is also damn cheap la, its just 3.50 bucks . Its cheaper the the cheapest sun block i can find out there. Just don't be seen wearing this on board any public transport or so, you'll most likely end up replacing mas selamat.

Then while i was walking around more, I saw this damn sleek looking ranger cap. Which i think could make a god combination with the hood like this..

Not bad eh, the whole setup only cost me $7.50 =)

The record fish.

So, it was just any ordinary daily session at bedok jetty . It wasn't that ordinary because the gal and her girl friend joined us in our weekly session. After weeks of absence, jy also finally made his appearance.

Our bait fishes were once again scarce for the day. This is the frustrating irony. When there are little bait fishes around, the big fishes around would be hungry, if there are plenty of bait fishes around the big fishes will just eat the bait fishes and feel full.

The weather was unrelenting with the sun scorching the tarmac ,creating an hell on earth effect at bedok jetty. While me and ernest were gawking at the rest for not wearing long sleeves, we are also the ones sweating like dogs with the long sleeves acting as mobile sauna suits.

The sauna mobile suits

The aims for todaks yield pathetically puny sized ones which kinda dampened the team's spirit. Combined with the lack of baits, it was indeed quite frustrating.

The sun got the better of them.

However, just as desperation got the better of us, the bait fishes were back! Yayness. I took the opportunity to teach the girl how to jig for tambans and unhook them. Well, heres a compliment, shes a quick learner and quite a lucky one too. She managed the tambans by herself and ernest called me over my cell to get my ass back as my rod was bending. The todak feeding frenzy came on and the team was getting hit after hits of todaks and spirits were high.

If you pay close attention, its actually the same fish caught below-_-

Soon, the action died down and it became the restless waiting game again. Suddenly, my noodle got an extremely huge take that had the uncles around the rod shouting and yelling, infact the rod almost dropped into the water(I need a rod holder). At the speed of light, I ran to my rod rescuing it from the menancing torrents and tightened my drag and gave it a light strike. From far,i could see the fish leaped out of the water . Its quite a big one as even though my drag setting was already quite high, it was still peeling line out of my spool.I had to ran up the jetty in order not to let the todak get under the jetty furthur up. That attracted alot of spectators and one of the uncle commented that i could join the olympics. The fish made its last run near the jetty and was finally subdued . As i swung the fish up on to the jetty the hook came off due to the weight of the fish.. Luckily it dropped onto the jetty and didn't fell back into the water. Think we seriously need to get a gaff soon or else we'll be losing to all our big catches.

68cm, 750grams. Its small compared to desT's catches.

That kinda concluded the day as we packed early and head home. My dad didn't have time to come fetch me back as usaul so i had to take the public transport back, which is a painstaking ordeal. Its totally like the journey to the west. Oh well, guess i'm too pampered by my dad.
Me and ern's noodle rod

This picture is supposed to enhanced the width of the todak.
The family!

Alas, bjt at 5 pm. Taken by Soon, extremely photoshopped by yours truly..

Psychotic fishing uncles

I need sleep! I seriously need some sleep soon or else my blood shot eyes are gonna start bleeding. So, heres a quick one to update on what happened today.

Early this morning I woke up at 530 am to go fishing with sum and soon. I think we're getting more and more hard core as the weeks past and when we reached bedok jetty, it looked so barren and forlorn that we could literally cast where ever we want to cast.

The bait fishes were every where today so jigging for baits was easy, how ever , probably there was a change in tidal conditions or sorts, the bait fishes looks like baby godzillas and were alil too big for fishing. We soon got enough of bait and started fishing.

My noodle rod haven't got any takes on the new method I employed which I didn't anticipated for it to happen. My braided lines got tangled into a huge mess which in the end , i've got to sacrificed the mess up bunch and cut them away and rejoin the line. Now, that meant that I've got less line on my noodle rod now. I casted it out as per usual and soon enough, there was a strong pull and my line was like pouring out of my reel. When it was doing that , I was still slowly strolling over to my rod to pick it up when i suddenly realised that I'm left with little line on the reel which eventually got stripped of my reel, which means, the main line is on the verge of snapping .

Luckily, the main line didn't break and i got there just in time before the fish made another run. Sigh, just when things seemed alittle brighter for me, i reeled in the fish and found yet another tangled mess just before the fish, more line cut off. After the next todak, i decided to retire my noodle rod. Sigh,I need to do line shopping soon.

Having nothing else better to do, i decided to start jigging for bait fishes again. By this time i've a cable car set up for my surf rod which I just dropped an godzilla size tamban into the water with. As I was speaking to this Belgium lady about how big the fishes from Belgium are, my rod surf rod bent and almost fell off the jetty! The macik beside the rod was like BIG FISH BIG FISH!!!

Again I had the urge to stroll over again how ever, some one behind me shouted RUN LA( Malay accent way) and I sprinted. Note, i strewn my jigging rod on the floor where some one conveniently stepped on it later and broke my jigging hooks.Back to the fish on hand , when i reach for my rod it was already bending profusely and it suddenly stop, I thought i lost the fish when suddenly, it started its run again! It was damn exciting although seriously, the surf rod was an over kill for that fish . Every time the fish did an acrobatic stunt by leaping out of the water , the hearts of the people watching it skipped a beat.People started commenting on the type of fish it is and when finally, after a few minutes, the fish surfaced and I brought it out of the water..It was a queen fish! The feeling was just too slick when I look at my first queen fish, ay. That slickness feeling how ever was destroyed when i saw some one almost landing a queen fish about 4-5 times bigger then mine. Tsk~

One thing about bedok jetty is the amount of inconsiderate , cocky and selfish bastards on the jetty. There were plenty of squabbles going on at the jetty today with one involving this young man and this old man. Both of them are equally hot headed and they almost went into a fist fight. Hurling vulgarities with each other, just over some tangled fish lines and hooks is simply over board. Then there is homicidal fisherman who fishes all those bait fishes and just leave them to die on the floor. Which he kicks them down at the end of his killing fish and time session. What i've witness today is totally senseless and i'm seriously very disappointed with the people and size of my queen fish. Tsk, I guess thats what you get when you're fishing in Singapore i guess.

Whats the point of fishing when you want to fight and get angry over it?

Jc's Otak Otak

We are delicious, eat us

Just the day before I came back with kilograms of fish meat from the catch at bedok jetty. Cooking the fish was also part of my agenda when I targeted the species and thus , to follow through with the plan , I went to the market with my mum to get the ingredients for the dish.

Summing up the ingredients

The dish I'm gonna make with the fillet is the familiar nonya snack, Otak otak. I've researched over the net looking at various recipe and decided that daz's recipe makes quite a good reference thus , using his ingredients as a guide, I came out with my own version of Otak Otak using todak fillet.

Spices galore

Since its a nonya cuisine, it has its flavour set on this few common spices you see in the picture. I ahd a hard time buying them as I only knew their 'christian' name not their chinese ones , so its more like a picture describing session at the market place this morning.

I think the most tedious part of the otak otak making process is the part where by you've gotto remove the seeds from the dried chilli. You've gotto soak them in hot water for around 10 mins for them to soften and then, use ur hands or a small tea spoon to scrape out the seeds and stalk inside . At the end of it, expect to feel your hands burning as the chilli works into your skin.

These things hurt

The lemon grass seems to play a big role in the ingredients as they some how, form the base of the whole otak otak binding the latter together after they cook. Unlike daz, I decided to dice my lemon grass before placing them into the blender so that their fibers won't be in very long strands.

Very good coconut cream and lemon grass

Another key ingredient i thought would be the laksa leaves. Woots, these fellows add alot of flavour even though in small amounts. I cook taste them exploding in my mouth when i bite down on my otak otak.

Of course, the must have compliment in a nonya dish would be the belacan . I think almost all nonya dishes use this ingredient to add flavour into their meals.

Belacan,the key ingredient

Combining all the ingredients together in the blender, add alittle water to the latter in order for the blender to work its magic. Blend till extremely smooth,my blender broke down halve way, so ay, its not as smooth as i wanted it to be but its still good.

Let it rip!

Next would be the todak fillet itself. I think the next time i do this again, i'll just pure todak fillet without bones from the stomach. I thought that the meat from the stomach would make alot of flavour to the otak and the bones were fine enough to be crushed and mixed into the mixture. It seemed alright when i was pounding the meat how ever,I felt the bones only after i eat them.

Sashimi??

Tsk, handling the otak paste and the banana leaf is yet another ordeal. Its hard to get it right at the first few otak otaks, which resulted in busted leaves and leaks, how ever, after a few more practice, I thought I'm making decent looking otak otaks already.

Put us into the oven quick!

I didn't have the luxury of a bbq pit in the house so i made use of my trusty oven and set the temperature to around 240 degrees on baking mode. The objective of cooking the otak otak would be to solidify the mixture. Once the otak otak becomes hard, its ready. How ever, you could leave it in there for a while more if you want a crispier version .

Ah.. we love sun tanning...

Well, here it is , Jc's otak otak, full of flavour, have to improve on its texture, well, I've got plenty of todak meat to experiment on since i've only used up one piece today . More to come more to come =)

When times are bad, life looks grim and every thing becomes slim

With the graduation I'm left with too much time and often, money consuming activities. So much so that due to my inability to secure a stable temporary job, I'm officially running low on cash. With the very little i had , its hard to find entertainment for myself. Driven by a spur of interest and enthusiasm, I went against all odds bought myself a noodle rod . The temptation took a better of me and my mum even called me a good for nothing at the end of the day.

Teal ultralight, I love it =)

Yet another reason why i love it , its korean.

Well, a noodle rod is basically a very long rod, which is extremely slim. The physics of the rod is such that , its thin and long , which makes it flex very easily. Which also in turn meant that the rod is great for absorbing any form of shock from the line . Well, i won't go into details for the description of the functionalities of the rod, we'll just leave it at the fact that it is a great rod and i love it.

My rod is long...
After researching the net for a series of methods to tie our rigs and knots, I've employed a form of rig which is able to carry out the capabilities of the noodle at its best. After giving my equipment a dry pre-run at home in my own bed room, I'm ready to go fishing.

Sample, not drawn to scale.

I called up Ernest and soon ning and jun yuan my usual fishos just a day before the trip and they are surprisingly keen on fishing the next day itself despite the sudden invitation. So after an evening of discussing and planning over the tele , we're set to meet next morning with soon driving us to the infamous bedok jetty.

Well, I'ld say its one of the best place to fish in town actually, after years of fishing by many anglers and usually nasty net casters the jetty itself is still very productive with bait fishes and sort. We reached the jetty at around 8 and as soon as we setup our tent and equipment , we're ready to fish.

Just 10 mins into fishing while i was still letting the current drift my float out my line shot out of my reel rapidly. It was a fish alright and as soon as i tightened my line and gave it strike, i could feel the fish at the other end went frenzied. My reel was screaming as it was letting out line and my bendy rod is bending like a bell curve, absolutely thrilling. Soon I've attracted a crowd and they all started surrounding me as I tackled the fish. After around 15 mins, the fish succumbed and it was brought up with the help of the friendly regulars .

Aiyo, look at that, that's happiness smeared all over the face.

Seriously, I think a measuring tape would be better.

Those 'jaws ' punch some 4 holes into my middle finger.

Soon with his trophy

Ernest with his pawn.

Its a Todak or other wise also known as a gar fish . My dad's friend complimented that it is actually a good eating fish which how ever is shunned by anglers due to the fact that it has plenty of bones in them. Well, it would actually make a good fish in a dish i've had in mind and researched on lately. The otak. Hopefully I can prepare some of these before jm's bbq on the 25th .

Daz's version, copyrighted to him.

As the day went on ,we're landing more and more todaks and at one point, we even ran out of bait for these chumps. Luckily Tambans (bait fishes) were abundant at the jetty and like spartan warriors , the three of us were jigging desperately for the latter.

Well, here it is the total catches of the day , which unfortunately , foolish me de gutted three of them before the final photo shoot. That makes alot of specimen to try out the above otak recipe, hope it'ld work out.

Little borats

SO ,for the past few days I've found myself a part time job which i'm working together with Chong tuck. The Job scope revolves around ushering and back stage support for the SYF 2008 dance competitions. While Ct handles the ushering scene, I found myself providing right stage support on the back stage itself. Its a pretty neat job I'd say for myself. I get to experience the Little mellow drama unfolding behind the curtains when the lights dimmed out and best of all, I get to see their performances closer then any one else could.

So for the entire of this week , it was the Primary school Indian dance competition. As much as i'm overwhelmed by the distinct differences in fragrance , I'm as amazed by the choreography put up by this little borats.

From the ankle bangles to the seemingly seamless face paints to the ridiculously blinged up costumes , I feel that the Indian dance would outshine the rest of the forms of dances in the week to come in the form of their vibrancy. Well, probably I'm wrong and I do look forward to be proven the other way with the fact that I would anticipate every day of my work more then any one else.

A little clearer vision

Well, its just slightly past 12 midnight and we're into the early minutes of 17th the march, my birth day.Well, the past year was a pretty hectic one i guess. The last year in any course of your study is always the most gruelling part of the whole ordeal i supposed, so people, forgive me if I've neglected any of you for the past year . Hmm, probably that sound just too hypocritical to any of you but i really mean it .

With the official graduation from Sp, I'm also grown passed my teenage years as i hit 20. Jeeze, i think birthdays are great for reflecting on the past , and now that I'm at it, I think its been such a long way through out my teenage years. Now that I'm here, I felt that I've learnt more, adopts a different perspective and of course, made plenty of new friends .

I think it was last year that I embraced failure worst then any time before during the time when My Fyp project failed on the day of the presentation. It was also this that made it one of the most memorable times where by I had friends to fall back on and to support me after the fall. Of course, it was also last year that i met this wonderful lady named Eleanor Tan Yi ling who gave me hope when every thing was in a nought and stayed by my side to listen to my day to day complaints and love me the same still after I end my un-controlled anger rampage.Whats more, she even baked me a birthday cake on her own!

Well, I've not much to say here any more , just a big THANK YOU to every one who celebrated my birthday for me , especially the stupid girl who made the effort to call all my class mates and organized this lovely bbq session , full of surprises, and the peeps who managed to rendezvous a handful to have a warm evening of steam boat at my place. Thank you thank you thank you, i feel like I'm at the Emmy's already. Happy birthday Jc boy~

Situations

I believe in many times of my almost 20 years of life I've experienced situations whereby , an action is required to be performed by myself , how ever , I've got restrictions that clearly forbids me to commit .

To simply type it all out here would be rather, too vague of a description for this sensation I'm talking about. Its not the case that its just a rare phenomena that just disappears into the back of my head . However, it happens at such a rate and impact that carves itself into me such that I could still feel that very sense of awkwardness .

Maybe I'll give examples from part of my daily experiences , perhaps that would make a better sketch of the picture.

Now, take for example some one is throwing a surprise party for you and you are not supposed to know about it. Then some one , who misunderstood the information and come up to you and ask,"Hey, why didn't you invite him along?" Him is some one who i don't really know but i still know him only at the spot where by I've only seen him once. However , this him is a very good friend of the person asking you that question and it really meant a lot of if he was present. Now, this is the catch, you are not the organiser and you are not the one who is inviting people over to the party and now , you are flabbergasted with the question thrown at you. Him , don't know any one from the party except for me and the person asking me the question. OK, from an extrovert point of view, meeting strangers and all is something like a blessing. How ever, you do know that HIM is not an extrovert of a person at all and it will be hard to initiate a conversation without feeling bored. You want to reject your friend but you just couldn't find the right words. That's the feeling.

Probably it happens to you at work as well. Lets say you drew up this banner for a client and it has this tiger you got your inspiration from a water color painting which is worth a few zeros behind a certain amount. So, when your client open up that article she went hysterically laughing and say it looks like the logo for tiger balm.Your team mates were all dumbfounded and some made circles with their index finger around the side of their heads. She went on and asked her colleagues about the article and none of them agreed with her. You know you've done nothing wrong and your conscience tell you so. HOWEVER , your client then asked" Do you think you did a good job" After witnessing such display of emotions from her, what do you think was my reply. That's the feeling.

Now, what is this now. One of yet another defect of man kind again?

What to do

I can summarize life in three words, it goes on...

How does that quote seems logical to you? Simplicity with so much depth and maturity to it , sweet.

The impression I first derive from the ads and previews is that it would be just some other ordinary love show that would be forgettable. However , having sat my ass down for the 1 and a halve hour proved me other wise.

It was a show made of twist, dramas and a light sense of humour between the dialogues. The use of the various quotes from nobles was a work of brilliance and creativity. I won't say that all the characters had carried the role well enough to leave a lasting impression but despite the fact of being out of the stage for such a long period of time, wong lin lin surprisingly played her role magnificently well.

This movie seriously brought much life for me back for the big screen and to think that this is an authentic piece of art produce locally , I just couldn't find any critics in my vocabulary (if any ) for this film.It is touching, I've got tear stains on my shirt for evidence to prove my point! Go watch it . =)

Meet Jj- The grape thief!

This is JJ( Jun Jie) AKA Bee bee (note the similarity from the previous post) . At first glance he seems like any ordinary 1 year old out there so filled with innocence. How ever, I saw him performing acts which one would deemed queer , for a kid to do at such age. Hmm.

So JJ came over to my place this morning which seems like part of the ingredients to make today a great day. He came walking up to my room , bubbly and curious about what i was doing on my desk top. Fooled by his sweet looking face , i let him sat on my lap while i was doing my work and i opened a work document for him to type his gibberish rubbish in. It was something like this ,

ad asdfukfih4iadsjsdm,nhkl3rm;;=-

I decided that i wanted to do more work and leave him alone so i put him back on the floor and expected him to totter out of the room. Well, instead of doing that, he had to press the restart button on my cpu.

Since he is laughed so adorably after doing that , i decided not to chase him out of the room and let him play with my phone. Bad move.

HE started pressing the green button on my cell over and over again. Lucky he was just calling my mum who was at home then. That when I chased him out of my room into the living room where this basket of grapes my mum just washed laid. Then he started picking the grapes and throwing them around the hall looking like some eccentric.

Thats when the house warden came in and held him under her custody. This small kid causes trouble , big time. Cute ?

Bibi the silky terrier

So one of my side jobs earlier this year was to have a few snap shots of this little dog which belongs to my aunt . A silky terrier by the name of Bibi. Tsk, i know its a cliche name , but ay , what to do , it runs in the family.

Haven't really been doing photo shoots for doggies before except for my late dog,. ah beng using the old digi cam. Tsk, well with the dslr , new possibilities with the photos are explored. In this series , I explored with bounce flash.
Ay, its all about the lighting and how you want light to enter into your sensor I feel , is what photography is about. Light capturing , I'd call it, with the camera as your magic wand to capture light.
Bibi was a very cooperative client whom remain seated when ever the camera is pointed at it .In fact , he is too obedient. I had to hide my camera away and take it out to take a candid shot of him in order for him to give me other poses.

Personally, i thought to myself that its very difficult to do indoor shoots without an external flash system. I had to struggle with the inbuilt flash system with a piece of card board to bounce of the light so that it won't be harsh . A $430 external flash would do a better job with that. Well, photography ain't called an expensive hobby to pursue for nothing i supposed.

Well, it was fun working with the pup during the hour session. It simply couldn't take his eyes of my camera unless food is presented in front of him. Simply lovable. Makes me reminiscence on ah beng though. I wonder where that faggot went to on its own but I'm pretty sure he should be doing fine.

Detail 8

So , today I went for my vocational assessment at hendon SAF commando camp to allow the latter to further access whether I’m suitable for the unit or not. The location of the camp is irritatingly far. Smack in the middle of Loyang Avenue opposite Changi hospital, it made my butt cramp like I was having menstrual right after I alighted from the bus.

Well, being a commando is pretty neat stuff I felt. You get to keep in shape better than the rest of the units, you get to be honored by people and best off, you are paid to parachute =). That’s exactly what I told the officer interviewing me when he asked why I like to be in the battalion. While the whole atmosphere at the camp was pretty niche and all, we are treated to a grueling 11 hours of time spent in the camp mostly on waiting for our turn to be examined.

Assessment was based on several of physical and mental test and of course a test on our keenness to join the camp. Well, it’s just a series of test, which is pretty boring to me.

Well, if I’m in, that means that I've got to be going thru and fro from that camp for the next two years. Sigh, any one got any shorter bus route to suggest to me?

Whose fault is it?

As he looked back at you with his menacing eyes, you see agony and hatred, you heart saw the painful experiences he went through reflecting on those tears trickling down his face. You began blaming yourself, for your inappropriate form of teachings and care for your son throughout the years that saw him mature. Ultimately, whose fault is it?

He was so tiny and fragile the first time you saw him and you began to develop this acute sense of preventing harm from coming his way. His lovely smiles etched in the back of your head replacing any form of stress or unpleasantness.

You know that you only wanted the best for your kid so you worked for those hard earned cash as a hawker in the day and taxi driver by night in order to fund your son for his education. You hired a maid and sent him to child care while you worked. He begins getting used seeing the shadow of you leaving the house early in the morning from the corner of his eyes while lying on the bed and getting the cold pat on the shoulder when he shows you that little star on the piece of paper. Your work persists and your temperament grew thin and nights without quarrelling with your wife were seldom. You began questioning yourself.

Your son's studies were compromised as he finds no pride in his work. Eyes perceived him as a delinquent who will grow into nothing more than an average Joe. His friends were of no good and soon he joined their legacy of doom. There was no one that could stop him or care about him as he finds no one to listen or look after his actions. He finds emptiness at home and took the streets till the day turns night. He began to question himself.

The days passed, your health deteriorates. The school sends you a letter complaining of your son's behavior in school. You got devoured by violence and turn it towards your own son as your temperaments gave fuel to your actions. It was just the cane at first then your weapon of choice changed to the belt and you simply used your fist for convenience the next time round. Your hearts aches more than the pain that was instilled in your child. You question yourself as you hurt him and yourself even more. Fatigue hits you as this nights of torments occur even more frequent then you can ever imagine.

Your son is confused. He turns to his friend for guidance. They don't even know what they want.
He smokes. He skips school. Just to find for his friends who became one of his main reason for living. The pain you instilled in him became numb and soon hatred. His hatred grew and got a better of him during his last birthday that you've long forgotten due to your multiple work shifts. As you held up your fist to deliver a punch to him for yet another mistake, he shoves you away and retaliates with a punch. His tears trickled down his face, he looked back at you with his menacing eyes, you see agony and hatred, you heart saw the painful experiences he has been through and you question, whose fault is it?

We learn more then those who succeed..

Sorry for this long period of absence. Work was seriously the culprit of this prolonged drought from postings. Well, on a fine note, I've finished up all of my work and my final year project has dramatically came to a full stop.

The series of events that happened for my project was terribly devastating and heart wrenching. I guess in life , we all must fall in order to learn how to pick ourselves up and be stronger again.

We'll leave those melancholic thoughts aside, in this post, I'm gonna post about Pine apple tarts!

I've been itching to bake pine apple tarts for a very long time since I've got my oven and when elly said she loved pine apple tarts, i couldn't help but relieve my itch and bake the tarts. =)

As a prologue, i went online to browse through a few recipes and there was a plentiful of splendid recipes lying around the the net i tell you. Well, i especially liked this one from a baker's video blog.

Well, I'm not going to go into indepth details on how the tarts are made, most like , very basic ingredients that is all adopted from the web's concept.

Lets start of with the filling. I was skeptical about which pine apples i should choose when i found out that there is a variety to choose from. Well, i decided on the honey pine apples from thailand in the end and seriously, if you wanna do this, get the fruit vendor to peep the pine apple for you, it is much more entertaining and efficient to watch them do it then do it yourself.

Next would be to pulverize the pine apple. You can do this by grating , mincing or blending them in a food processor. For this case, Jc is a lazy person who believes in efficiency so i let my blender rip=)

For cooking the pine apple pulp, it'ld take a hell of a time. Why so you ask? We need to get almost all the liquid in the pulp out of the latter by vapourizing them. Seriously, a flame thrower would be good how ever, you can also do that by using your frying pan . Using a non stick pan would be ideal to ease the hassle of washing up, how ever, a normal would do fine too.

Pour the stuffs into the pan which is heated over with medium heat for around 5 mins and begin cooking . You'll find yourself so anxious that you'll constantly stir the mixture but , thats totally a waste of effort. Just let the mixture boil gently with the medium heat and give it a couple of stirs every 5-10 mins or so . If you don't want to dirty the stove , you could lid the wok. How ever, do cover it halve way so that the vapour can escape . This ordeal will take around an hour or so , and i strongly suggest you put more attention into the pulp at around the later 30 mins where the sauce begins to become thicken. This also meant that you should stir it more often to prevent burning.

Approximately at the 55th minute of so, the pulp will almost be thicken to an almost solid form to that of the thing that comes out of your in built disposal system (under normal circumstances please) . It will be good to add sugar or any sweetening agent at this point of time. Do not add any of those from the start as it will caramelize. Fold what is needed to be folded in and voila, you've got ur fillings done. Let it cool before working on them.

Next is the dough. This is the tricky part as you've got to get the proportions right. I suggest you follow that of those from the website. Get your flour and sugar in the mixing bowl and mix them well together. I suggest you use a whisk for this . Whisk some vanilla essence in the powder mixture. Then cut up the butter and mix them into the powder mixture. I suggest you do this with you hands, wash them of course( who knows how recent did you just clean your in-built disposal system).Keep kneading the mixture until they are consistent and voila, you've got ur dough.

I suggest you shape each of them to balls like what is shown in the pictures and it'ld make it easier to work with. do what ever shapes or design you want and place them on a piece of baking paper on the tray. Pre heat oven to around 190 or so (depending on how old your oven is ,older meant that it'ld need to be higher ). If you are making these tarts to suit a vegeterian's diet then end here and proceed with baking for 10 mins. If not, coat a layer of egg yolk on the top of the pastry and chuck them into the oven for baking. The end result should be splendid. =)
